The club’s AGM took place on 16 January and elected Co-Chairs Will Newby and Warren Eastham to replace Steve Lowes. Will and Warren took the opportunity to recognise the considerable efforts made by Steve during his time as Chair.
The immediate priority for Will, Warren and the Committee is to focus on fundraising so that the club maintains solid foundations for success on the field and, in the longer term, to improve the clubhouse facilities for the benefit of all members. There will be a further drive to build membership and participation from the wider community in the club.
Steve Lowes was elected to remain on the Committee in the role of Treasurer.

Happy New Year to all at Read CC.
We welcomed 2014 at the Club with our New Year’s Eve party which was a successful and enjoyable night. I’d like to thank all those who helped make it happen with their efforts and all those who attended and made it a great night. We now look forward to the season and other events we have planned such as our golf day (February 21st – see Kyle O’Connor), our infamous Good Friday Walk and of course the cricket itself!
